IssuesCategory: IgnisIncrement Ignis fire resistance ?
Maxence asked 2 years ago

Hello !
I’m using Ignis since few weeks, and I would like to know if it’s possible to increment the fire resistance ?

Let me explain:
I want to extinguish a fire, but my particles put it out really fast (I use the particle extinguish script, as explained in the documentation).
The Full Extinguish Thoughness variable of my component is already set to “1”.
Is there any other option to “reduce” the power of the water particles?
Options that would allow the fire to resist better?
Any answer is welcome and I thank you in advance.

Hey,
Thank you for the question! You can decrease the extinguishing power on the particle extinguish script: https://support.arctibyte.com/docs/ignis/component-documentation/particle-extinguish/
If this is not accurate enough for you, one option could be raycasting where particles flow and increasing the raycast radius via script or setting radius increment to a number that feels right. https://support.arctibyte.com/docs/ignis/component-documentation/raycast-extinguish/
This is also a method which is more performance friendly.

I hope this helps!
